Talk about the iPad 2 is sloshing around the Internet, with speculation about what enhancements it will have over the original. There’s also talk about its breakability and changes to the size of this little gem. One theme seems to remain consistent through all of these speculations: Those who have the original iPad will want to post it on eBay to get money to buy the new one. Those who decided to wait for the second version will be glad that they did.
One of the greatest additions to the new iPad 2 is that it will have the ability to take pictures. And, get this: There will not just be one camera, but two! One camera will face towards the user while the other camera faces out the back. This will provide a lot of versatility for taking pictures. Taking pictures on iPad 2 will be similar to taking photos with a smartphone–by seeing the image on the screen. With the extra camera, users will be able to take pictures of themselves while looking directly at the screen. This will also be cool for two users to look at each other, face-to-face, while video chatting. This technology is reminiscent of those old TV shows about the future that always showed a caller being able to see the person on the other end of the line via a nifty TV-like screen. Wonder if flying cars will become a reality too?
A small, but wonderful update is that Apple has found a way to make the screen a little more smudge resistant. The back of the iPad will be flat, making it less apt to fall and break. The entire product will also be slimmer. Several outlets have reported that the new iPad will have a wide-range speaker. Although many have requested projectors to be included with the iPad 2, including Oprah, it is not clear yet if that will be a new option.
